Grasim shareholders approve sale of two textile units

MUMBAI: Aditya Birla Group company Grasim Industries on Friday said shareholders through postal ballot have approved the resolution to sell, transfer or disposal of two textile units in Haryana to its subsidiary, Grasim Bhiwani Textiles.
The shareholders have approved the sale, transfer or disposal of textile units Bhiwani Textile Mills and Elegant Spinners at Bhiwani, Haryana on a going concern basis or otherwise to Grasim Bhiwani Textiles Ltd, the firm said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In September, Grasim Industries had said the deal would not be less than Rs 60 crore.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 3,495, down 2.66 per cent in the afternoon trade at BSE.
