Foreign textile tools manufactureres eye India
With the Indian textile industry on expansion spree, many foreign machinery manufactureres eye India to have their presence.
To provide a common platform for the foreign machinery suppliers, Indian mills and garment manufacturers and other players in the textile segment are teaming up with Internationaler Messe und Ausstellungdienst (IMAG), the international arm of Munich Trade Fairs group and Indian its partner Fair Design India (FDI), to organise Texmac India 2007- a four - day international trade fair in Delhi from January 17 - 20, 2007.
Speaking to the media, Nikolaus Wollman, deputy managing director, IMAG, said, in 2005, India imported textile machinery worth $ 548 million from China and $ 70 million from Japan 2005 and this is likely to go up in the coming years.
"The fair will showcase the state - of - the - art technologies developed elsewhere to the captains of the Indian textile industry who are investing heavily as part of their modernisation and expansion programme," he said.
With an exhibitor base of over 200 countries including China, ermany, Italy, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, Belgium and Korea, the fair is expected to generate business enquiry worth Crores of Rupees.
