The India-UK FTA, which came into force on Wednesday, is expected to boost India's textile and apparel exports.

"The India-UK FTA is likely to increase apparel and textile exports by 20-25% every year," said Naren Goenka, chairman of Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF). Goenka said the event generated business enquiries worth about $2.8 billion and added that as India expands its FTA network, textile exports are expected to grow 15-20% annually.
