Arvind Ltd in talks to introduce CO2-dyeing with Dutch technology-provider DyeCoo

Textile conglomerate Arvind Ltd is in talks with Dutch company DyeCoo to introduce CO2-dyeing in its manufacturing plant in India, CMD Sanjay Lalbhai said. “Sustainability is the way ahead; just that we have to see how much financial sense it makes sense,” he said on the sidelines of Vibrant Gujarat 2019 that has the Dutch technology provider as a participant.

Speaking to ET, DyeCoo Asia MD Kasper Nossentn said the company is keen to forge alliances with the likes of Arvind Ltd, Welspun Group, Raymond and Reliance India Ltd for adoption of sustainable technology in textiles.

“This eliminates the need of water and chemical dyes and is environmental free,” he said. He said if talks with Arvind Ltd succeed, the later will be the first Indian company to introduce the technology in India.
