Amul innerwear plans Rs 80 cr expansion

J G Hosiery Private Ltd, manufacturer of Amul branded innerwear, on Tuesday said it would invest Rs 80 crore for setting up a new facility and augment capacity of its existing plants.

KOLKATA: J G Hosiery Private Ltd, manufacturer of Amul branded innerwear, on Tuesday said it would invest Rs 80 crore for setting up a new facility and augment capacity of its existing plants.

The company would set up a new facility at Delhi and expand capacity of Kolkata and Tirupur units, J G Hosiery Executive director Sandeep Seksaria told reporters here on Tuesday.

He said that the company was looking at a turnover of Rs 325 crore for the financial year 2008-09. The projected turnover for 2007-08 was Rs 210 crore.

Seksaria said that the investments would be raised through internal accruals and debt.

He said that the company would also invest heavily in brand building.
