AC Nielsen to conduct survey of powerloom industry: Textiles Ministry

NEW DELHI: The Textiles Ministry today said market research company AC Nielsen ORG-MARG will conduct a survey of the powerloom industry in northern India to collect information about developments in the sector.

The survey will be undertaken to get the latest position of the powerloom industry in the northern region of the country, an official statement said.

Besides, the ministry appealed to the textile units spread across the northern region along with various other stakeholders to give necessary information to AC Nielsen ORG-MARG for conducting the survey.

This information would be utilised by the government for giving shape to developmental policy aimed at strengthening the powerloom industry.
