Yakult Danone India launches probiotic drink
The company has set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Rai Food Park (Haryana) and has already invested Rs 136 crore in the probiotic project.

NEW DELHI: Yakult Danone India (YDI), a 50:50 JV between Yakult Honsha of Japan and French food giant Groupe Danone, announced the launch of probiotic drink Yakult from its global portfolio of probiotic products in the Capital on Wednesday.
The company has set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Rai Food Park (Haryana) and has already invested Rs 136 crore in the probiotic project.
YDI would further invest Rs 100 crore to streamline distribution, marketing and brand promotion activities over the next 3-4 years. The company aims to sell one lakh bottles a day in 2008-09.
