Wheat down Rs 15 per quintal in wholesale market

The wholesale prices of wheat fell by Rs 15 a quintal in New Delhi due to reduced demand from roller flour mills.

NEW DELHI: The wholesale prices of wheat fell by Rs 15 a quintal here due to reduced demand from roller flour mills.

Prices of wheat dara (for flour mills) lost Rs 15 to Rs 1,060-1,110 a quintal while wheat MP (deshi) traded steady at Rs 1,350-1,550 a quintal on subdued demand.

In line with wheat, chakki atta delivery lost Rs 10 at Rs 1130-1135 per bag of 90 kg Rolling flour mills prices fell by similar margin to Rs 1,125-1,130 per 90 kg bag.

"Fall in demand from roller flour mills, led to a decline in wheat prices", said a wholesale grain merchant.
