LUCKNOW: Alarmed at the recovery of synthetic milk and milk products from markets here and in some districts across the state, the Uttar Pradesh police chief today asked the district police officials to launch a special campaign against those involved in sale of these products.
In a circular issued to the IGs, DIGs and SSPs, the Director General of Police Vikram Singh directed them to launch a joint campaign with the health department officials against these products.
National Security Act may also be slapped on the offenders after taking into consideration the level of the offence, he said.
Synthetic milk and milk products were recovered from several markets in the state capital and some other districts recently by the police.
