Supreme Court sends Amul board row back to Gujrat High Court
Supreme Court has refused to intervene in the battle between Amul’s board and its chairman, and asked both sides to go back to the Gujarat HC.
A section of federation board members that are opposing Chaudhary had earlier approached the division bench of the Gujarat High Court to implement the no-confidence resolution passed on Thursday against the chairman. The division bench passed an order stating that they can apply to the single judge for implementation of the resolution, the federation said in a statement.
The court had stayed the matter related to the proposed no-confidence motion against Chaudhary and scheduled the next hearing on December 23. However, four federation directors approached the court’s division bench to hold board meet and discuss the matter but not implement any decision.
