Shubhi cow ghee to expand business by 2014-15

"From current processing capacity of 3 lakh litres of milk per day, we would increase to 16 lakh litres by 2014-15," said CMD Nandkishor Attal.

AHMEDABAD: Vaishno Devi Dairy Products said it will invest Rs 105 crore to expand its capacity three times by 2014-15.

"From the current processing capacity of 3 lakh litres of milk per day, we would increase the capacity to 16 lakh litres by 2014-15," said CMD Nandkishor Attal.

Launching Shubhi brand of cow ghee in Gujarat, he said the company would add 8 lakh litres of new capacity in Pune while acquiring a dairy plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Further, the company is contemplating a greenfield project worth 4 lakh litres capacity in Madhya Pradesh in next two years. Rising on the increasing demand of cow's ghee from the Indian consumer, the company sells ghee in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

"Now we are eager to sell in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh,Punjab, Haryana, Uttaranchal and Jammu & Kashmir," Attal said.
