Select edible oils continued to rise and registered further gain in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Saturday.

NEW DELHI: Select edible oils continued to rise and registered further gain in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Saturday on increased demand from vanaspati units against restricted arrivals from producing centres.

On the other side, non-edible oils remained flat on some deals.

Marketmen said apart from pick up in buying by millers and local parties, higher outside advices also gave push to rising prices.

Mustard expeller oil traded sharply higher at Rs 5130 per quintal against last close of Rs 5000.

Similarly, mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils gained Rs 15 each at Rs 765-785 and Rs 810-925 per tin of 15 litre respectively.

Soybean refined mill delivery also found increased buying support and quoted Rs 30 higher at Rs 5150 per quintal while soyabean degum (Delhi) shot up by Rs 100 at Rs 4900 a quintal.

Palmoline (RBD) oil gained Rs 50 at Rs 5000 a quintal on stockists buying, triggered by firm outside advices.
