NEW DELHI : Supported by short supplies, wholesale prices of select pulses spurted in the range of Rs.50-200 per quintal in the national capital on Tuesday.
Urad Maharashtra and Rangoon traded Rs.200 each higher at Rs 2475-2680 and Rs 2680-2755 per quintal respectively. Urad dal chilka local and best quality followed suit and traded higher at Rs.2900-3200 and Rs 3250-3700 from previous levels of Rs.2880-3080 per quintal respectively.
Traders said considerable fall in arrival from producing majors, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh mainly influenced the prices on the local wholesale market.
Moong Maharashtra and Rajasthan rose by Rs 150 and Rs.100 to Rs 2,650-2,950 and Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal respectively. Moong dal chilka local gained Rs.100 at Rs 3,150-3,250 per quintal.
Arhar Maharashtra and Rangoon were up by Rs 200 each at Rs 3,130-3,180 and Rs 3,025-3,075 per quintal respectively.
Dal arhar dara and patka gained Rs.50 and Rs 100 at Rs 3,700-3,900 and Rs 3,800-4,100 per quintal respectively.
Gram gained Rs.50 at Rs 2500-2600 a quintal in line with firming general trend.
