Pepsico to launch more products in two months
Pepsico India is planning to launch more products under the brand "Cheetos" and "Kurkure" over the next two months.
"Yes there will be more launches under 'Kurkure' and 'Cheetos' brand in future (snack division Frito-Lay). We can't reveal it right now", Pepsico India Holdings Vice-President (Marketing) Ruchira Jaitly told reporters here.
The company was planning to launch them by January 2010 and hoping to maintain its double-digit growth, she said.
Jaitly was here to officially launch "Cheetos Whossh Cheesy Bugs" targeting children.
The company had set apart more than 30 per cent of its turnover for promotion of new products in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, she said.
Pepsico India Technology-Head (Foods and Beverages) TSR Murali said the company's R&D team was working for a year to launch these products. The "Cheesy Bugs" are made from whole grain and does not have any "artificial" or added flavours, she said.
