Parag Dairy general manager suspended, salary of 10 officials put on hold

The general manager of Parag Dairy was suspended and his salary put on hold for his alleged refusal to verify the beneficiaries of old age and widow pension, an official spokesperson said.

VARANASI: The general manager of Parag Dairy was suspended and his salary put on hold on Saturday for his alleged refusal to verify the beneficiaries of old age and widow pension, an official spokesperson said.

The order to this effect was issued by district magistrate Ravinder after Ramsurat Yadav, the general manager of the reputed dairy, refused to verify the pension fund on Friday during a meeting in Varanasi, he said.

Along with Yadav, the DM also stopped the salary of 10 officials, including executive engineer of Jalkal department, district sugarcane officer, co-ordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra, district silk officer, executive engineer of Bandhi Prakhand, executive engineer of Jal Nigam, assistant engineer of rural engineering service, tehsildar (judicial), assistant director of soil testing, and assistant engineer of Musakhand, for delay in verification work, the spokesperson added.
