NRI-owned company keen to invest in Haryana
The US-based Spectrum International Llc, a company owned by a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) has announced an investment of Rs 2,000 crore in Haryana's food preservation and processing industries.
This announcement was made at a reception organised in the honour of the visiting Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey by the people of Haryana and local associations.
The meeting was attended by over 200 NRI's predominately of the Haryana origin, an official release issued here today said.
Here, Hooda said a nodal officer would be appointed by the state government to deal and coordinate with the NRIs. Meanwhile, for any requirement Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister M L Tayal could be contacted, the release said.
He also announced that all efforts would be made by the state to facilitate NRI investment.
Hooda added that to augment power supply, projects for 5,000 MW are being implemented.
The CM, who is leading a high powered delegation of the state and CII, reached New York yesterday with the objective to project Haryana as the most preferred investment destination.
