Nestle extends dairy portfolio

Packaged foods firm Nestle, maker of Maggi noodles and Nescafe coffee, announced an extension to its dairy portfolio, with the roll out of a new product in the value-added milk segment.

NEW DELHI: Packaged foods firm Nestle, maker of Maggi noodles and Nescafe coffee, on Thursday announced an extension to its dairy portfolio, with the roll out of a new product in the value-added milk segment. The new product is being rolled out under the name Nestle a+ milk.

Nestle already sells dahi and flavoured yogurts through its dairy arm. Commenting on the launch, Kumaran Nowuram, GM (dairy), said: “The quality of milk available in the country is inconsistent... we tend to believe that boiling takes care of deficiencies in milk quality if any, but in reality this is not completely true.”

Nestle claimed the product was a ‘benchmark’ to ensure consistent quality milk.
