BHUBNESWAR: The eastern Indian���s larges sea food processing plant with a capacity of 40 ton per day has come up at Jankia, 50 kilometer from here. Indian Overseas Bank chairman and managing director, S A Bhat on Sunday inaugurated the plant set up the Magnum Sea Foods Ltd at a cost of Rs 20 crore.

���The processing plant has successfully completed its trial operation and achieved the highest quality standards in food security. The unit also has a cold storage capacity of 1800 ton per day. This unit is a unique set-up housing individual Qucik Freezing equipments with cooking facilities to produce ���Ready to Eat��� food products���, the city based Magnum Group of Companies chairman, Ramesh Mohapatra told ���The ET���.

Magnum Sea Foods Ltd is a part of the Magnum Group of Companies. ���We have incorporated the best technologies to meet the highest standards of quality as per Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and European Union Standard���, Mr Mohapatra added.

The Group targets developed markets in USA, Canada, Europe and Japan earning foreign exchange for the country.
