NEW DELHI: Yum! Restaurants, which owns the Pizza Hut and KFC brands, has lost its top management team in India in one shot. The fast food retail chains India head, Sandeep Kohli, has put in his papers, and so have director (operations) Ajay Bansal and CFO Anupam Bhattacharya.

When contacted, Mr Kohli confirmed the development. We have been around in the company for a long time and have been looking at some exciting opportunities. We have some options in mind, which we will be able to share at a later point of time, he said.

Mr Kohli was the CEO of Yum! in India ever since it launched the first Pizza Hut outlet of the country at Bangalore in 1996. A couple of years ago, he also spearheaded the launch of another Yum! chain, KFC, in the country.
The exact reason for Mr Kohlis exit could not be confirmed. Sources however attribute different reasons for the decision.
