KFC ties up with Blink Digital to launch 'watt a box' meal
The box will have 5-in-1 meal with a built in power bank to charge a phone. The launch is exclusive to Delhi and Mumbai.
In March, the fast food chain launched the 5-in-1 Meal Box to provide a complete meal at an affordable price to their customers.
“With the launch of Watt a Box, we have gone a step ahead and also introduced an element of utility into the box. Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare,” said CMO at Lluis Ruiz Ribot of KFC India.
The launch is exclusive to Delhi and Mumbai.
"In today’s day and age, smartphones have become as indispensable as food. Finding a charger when your smartphone battery is low can be stressful - whether in the middle of a meeting or in the middle of a meal,” Dooj Ramchandani, Cofounder of Blink Digital.
As QSR companies are battling an environment where consumption of fast foods continues to hover in low single digits as consumers cut down on discretionary spending, companies are employing such marketing techniques to push sales.
