Jayshree Tea scouting for estates in Vietnam, Indonesia

KOLKATA: Jay Shree Tea & Industries is scouting for gardens in Vietnam and Indonesia, the company chairman B K Birla said today.

"We are looking for gardens in Vietnam and Indonesia", Birla told reporters on the sidelines of the company's annual general meeting.

Jay Shree, which has an annual turnover over Rs 400 crore, recently acquired tea estates in East Africa with a total production of 10 million kilograms per annum.

The company was also on look out for more gardens in Africa, Birla said.

He said the company expected to close the deals during the current financial year.
