BENGALURU: The quintessential comfort dessert, ice-cream, has made a comeback as a global trend and this time it is not limited to being a seasonal favourite. Even as temperatures have dipped this week, Bengaluru is embracing ice-creams with innovative flavours and pairings that are giving the classic frozen dessert a whole new character. One of city's natural handmade ice-cream chains is serving flavours from the exotic Orient. Spanning authentic tastes from countries like China, Vietnam and Thailand, its flavours include lemongrass, ten der coconut pan dan, moonbeam, jasmine tea, water chestnut and kaffir lime.
"Bengalureans are innovative. They don't want run-of-the-mill fla vours anymore," said the chain's proprietor Sujala Parekh. "We offer 64 unique flavours that cover even Indian and Italian elements.
