Govt to go ahead with legal measures on cola issue

THIRUVANANTHPURAM: The Kerala government will file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court order quashing the ban on the sale and production of Coca-Cola and Pepsi, State law minister M Vijayakumar told the assembly on Monday.
Replying to a submission on the issue, Vijayakumar said the government banned the products as per law and it had not done anything illegal.
A Division Bench, comprising chief justice V K Bali and Justice M Ramachandran, on September 22, set aside the August 10 order of the state government banning the manufacture and sale of products of the two softdrinks' majors.
