Fine imposed on Coca Cola company
The Parbhani District Consumer Redressal Forum imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on Coca Cola after a complaint was lodged stating that dead insects were found its soda water bottle.
On October 6 last year, one Vijay Wakode had purchased six bottles of Coca Cola soda water from the company's outlet and found dead insects were found in one of the bottles.
Wakode immediately informed the seller of the company but he did not respond.
Later he approached the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) department and filed a complaint.
After he did not get satisfactory response from the FDA also, Wakode approached the forum which imposed a fine of Rs 5000 to be given to the consumer for giving faulty services.
