Cooperative Sugar mills in Haryana have achieved 7.62 % recovery of sugar as against the same as 7.46 % by the sugar mills of Uttar Pradesh till date.

AHMEDABAD: Cooperative Sugar mills in Haryana have achieved 7.62 % recovery of sugar as against the same as 7.46 % by the sugar mills of Uttar Pradesh till date.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that so far cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have produced over 3.05 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 46.62 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season. The capacity utilization of the mills had been 81.72 %.

The sugar mills at Shahbad, Meham and Rohtak had also exported over 99.76 lakh units of electricity to the power utilities till date during the current crushing season.

Giving details of the sugarcane crushed by the various sugarmills, he said that a maximum of 11.50 lakh quintals of sugarcane had been crushed by cooperative sugarmill Shahbad and the Panipat sugarmill stood at second position by crushing 4.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane. These two sugarmills had produced 84,000 quintals and 35,725 quintals of sugar respectively.

As much as 4.44 lakh quintals of sugarcane had been crushed by cooperative sugar mill Meham, 4.04 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Sonepat, 4.08 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Karnal, 3.81 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak, 3.92 lakh quintals of sugarcane by cooperative sugar mill Jind, 3.81 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Kaithal, 3.22 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Gohana and 3.08 lakh quintals by cooperative sugar mill Palwal.
