Choice group to launch Tastee Choice Meal Kit

After the successful launch of 'heat and eat' food kits in the US, Kerala-based Choice group plans to market its 'Tastee Choice Meal Kit' in India by the end of 2008.

KOCHI: After the successful launch of 'heat and eat' food kits in the US, Kerala-based Choice group plans to market its 'Tastee Choice Meal Kit' in India by the end of 2008.

The group will launch the product in Maharashtra and will slowly spread to other parts of the country including Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi, Jose Thomas, managing director of Choice Trading Corporation, told the reporters.

The vision behind this ready to 'heat and eat' meal kit was go give the consumer the option of convenience, freshness and great taste at their homes, he said.

'Tastee Choice' had received "tremendous response" from customers in the US and was it was now ranked second in that country, he claimed.

The product was being sold through some of the leading department stores in the US, he said.

The 50-year old Choice group, which is also into seafood and real estate businesses, is planning to build south India's tallest building having over 40 storeys at the suburban Tripunithura, he added.
