Britannia launches two more snacks under its NutriChoice brand

The NutriChoice Thins will be available in three flavours and will be available in packs of Rs 10 and Rs 30.

MUMBAI: Consumer goods major Britannia Industries today launched two more snacks under its NutriChoice brand, targeted at healthy eating and the people with diabetes.

"Our research shows that savoury snacking is a big part of daily lives of the consumers here, who are at the same time getting increasingly health sensitized. With this launch, we envisage more people adopting health by opting for healthier alternatives," Britannia Industries Managing Director Vinita Bali told reporters here.

The NutriChoice Thins will be available in three flavours -- classic spice, herb and tomato, lime and mint -- and will be available in packs of Rs 10 and Rs 30. The other product NutriChoice will have two variants and will be available from December at Rs 35.

"We will initially market these products in larger cities and after the response we get we will look at smaller towns," Britannia Vice-president and Chief Operating Officer Neeraj Chandra told PTI.

On expanding its product presence, Chandra said, "we are right now in Mumbai with our breakfast range and soon we will go to other regions. We don't have a definitive plan for a nationwide roll out but hopefully it will be soon."

He added the company would like to expand its product portfolio. "Whether it is dairy, biscuits, breakfast, we will certainly continue under each of these with new products. Hopefully, we should have more versions out soon in bread," he said.
