APEDA invites bids for study on 'ready to eat' food market
To tap the 'ready-to-eat' food market in the US and European countries, APEDA has invited bids for conducting a study on the export potential of Indian ethnic food products in these regions.
"The objective is to study the country-wise potential analysis of US and Europe and strategy of major 10 products in the 'ready-to-eat' food products sector," Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority said in a statement.
The study would cover all the products in the category of 'ready-to-eat' food items such as Indian curries, frozen and non-frozen snacks, sweets and instant mixes, it added.
APEDA said the technical and financial quotations should be made separately. For technical bids, the bidder should mention the manpower requirement and methodology for carrying out the proposed study. Besides, they should also give details of the similar study carried out in the past.
"The quotations may be submitted by December 5, 2007 positively," it said.
The tentative scope of the study would cover global overview with specific focus on market analysis for US and Europe, major products segment, overview of each product, production, consumption, import-export trends, it said.
The study would also focus on strategy for promotion of exports of products, under 'ready-to-eat' food sector in these markets, it added. APEDA invites bids for study on 'ready to eat' food market
