Adulterated milk products seized
Five persons were today arrested for selling adulterated milk products in a sweet shop in Simlapuri locality here, a senior police official said.

LUDHIANA: Five persons were today arrested for selling adulterated milk products in a sweet shop in Simlapuri locality here, a senior police official said.
In a joint drive launched by the health department and police, food items including 7.2 quintal of adulterated "barfi", 1.5 quintal of milk cake, hundred packets of synthetic "khoya" were recovered from the shop.
The owner of the shop is absconding, DIG Ludhiana Police Range Ishwar Singh said.
All the accused have been booked under section 420 IPC and section 16 of Prevention of Food Adultration Act, he added.
