Wyeth sells Forhans brand to John Oak Remedies

MUMBAI: Pharma and consumer healthcare company Wyeth Ltd on Wednesday said it has sold the Forhans brand of toothpaste and toothpowder to John Oak Remedies Private Ltd for Rs 2.25 crore.

Wyeth informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the ownership of Forhans brand and its manufacturing license have been transferred to John Oak Remedies.

The company has transferred the leasehold interest in the land at Nasik, along with the vacant buildings and structures standing thereon, to Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd for Rs 2.5 crore. Forhans toothpaste and toothpowder were being manufactured by Wyeth at this Nasik facility, it added.
