Winova Tech launches alcohol-free hand sanitizers

COIMBATORE: Sweden-based Winova Technology AB has collaborated with Shivarams Associates to launch its alcohol free hand sanitizers and bacteria shield products in India.

Bacteria-free solutions products like water treatment products for cleaning water and products for industrial and domestic applications would be available here and would be launched across Tamil Nadu in another three months, Philip Wilhelmsson, CEO and Managing Director, Winova Technology AB, told reporters here.

Products like 'safe hands' hand sanitizers, Baby Smooth for babies, Home Guard for floor protection and Wall Spray for wall protection, would come in convenient sizes in foam and liquid variants, Venkatesh Sivaraman, Managing director, Winova Enterprises Pvt Ltd, who was also present, said.

The variants would be sent in tank from its plant in Sweden to the city, Wilhelmsson said, adding the JV would rebottle and market it here.

Depending on the demand, the products would be launched across Tamil Nadu in three months and in South India and across India in phased manner, Venkatesh said.

With a market size of Rs 250 crore in Tamil Nadu, the company expects to capture a 20 to 25 per cent share in the first year, he said.

The company plans to introduce India-specific products, including kitchen cleaners and bathroom disinfectors and algae removal for industries and hotels within one year and before that a mosquito repellant would be launched soon, Wilhemsson said.
