Pimple-removal segment: A 'clear' winner in the face wash market
The Rs 1,600-crore face wash market in India is increasingly dominated by the zit and acne-removal category offering spotless looks, while the fairness segment is struggling.
"While there were always products available for pimple removal, consumer awareness has increased manifold and so have brand launches," said Rajesh Krishnamurthy, business head for consumer product division at Himalaya Drug Company, makers of Himalaya Herbals, the leading brand in this category.
