Lock-out at Hindustan Lever plant in Tinsukia
A lockout at Hindustan Lever's production unit here since last week has adversely affected about 700 workers.
The factory, in upper Assam's Tinsukia district, was closed on July seven after workers gheraoed 18 company executives for 17 hours over payment of bonus, official sources said on Sunday.
The officers stopped going to office and locked the factory, which produces personal care products.
A senior official of Hindustan Lever, Mumbai is expected to arrive tomorrow to sort out the issue, the sources said.
