As the Indian Government Begins Enforcement of Banning Single Use Plastic Straws, Lamipak Aims to Assist Impacted Suppliers with their Paper Straw Solution
Lamipak’s U-Shape Paper Straws will be available in 143mm 160mm and 181mm for all portion packs.Delhi, INDIA – June 1, 2022 – Lamipak, one of the industry leaders in aseptic packaging products and solutions, announced its official launch of their U-shape paper straw solutions for the Indian market. As one of the first on the planet to have U-shape paper straws commercially available, Lamipak intends to offer beverage companies a swift and reliable solution to companies who will be impacted by the plastic straw ban.
Lamipak currently has its U-shape paper straw production line based in China with plans to expand their capacity in Indonesia by the third quarter this year. When fully ramped up, both paper straw lines will have a combined capacity of producing 200 million paper straws per month with an additional 100 million per month added in 2023.
The U-shape paper straws are available in 143mm, 160mm and 181mm and are compatible with our portion packs and are composed of 100% recyclable paper that is biodegradable responsibly sourced from FSC certified suppliers.
