Godrej & Boyce's retail division plans to achieve a turnover of Rs 300 crore and ensure a pan-India presence for the Godrej Lifespace brand in the next three years.

KOLKATA: Godrej & Boyce's retail division plans to achieve a turnover of Rs 300 crore and ensure a pan-India presence for the Godrej Lifespace brand in the next three years.
The company has also decided to sell lifestyle products of brands other than Godrej, to offer a complete range of products from the company retail store, Godrej Retailing VP and Business Head, Shyam Motwani said here today.
"We have planned huge expansion over the next three years to increase our footprint across the country. We are also negotiating with several companies for new product categories in the lifestyle segment not available in the Godrej stable to sell through our stores," Motwani added.
The company has 43 retail stores under the Godrej Lifespace brand and 12 would be added during the current fiscal. This would be gradually enhanced to 90.
"We would invest Rs 35-40 crore during the period for capacity enhancement and brand positioning," Motwani said.
Godrej Lifespace plans to add products like personal computer, laptop, digital camera, children's products, wall furnishing, crystalware in the stores. There will also be coffee shops for customers.
