Godrej Consumer Q4 net up 29 pc at Rs 39 cr
Godrej Consumer Products today reported 28.94 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 38.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 30.16 crore for the same quarter last year.
MUMBAI: Godrej Consumer Products today reported 28.94 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 38.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 30.16 crore for the same quarter last year.
The total income (net of excise) grew 14.36 per cent to Rs 188.45 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, from Rs 164.78 crore a year ago, Godrej Consumer informed BSE.
The company has declared a fourth interim dividend of Rs 1.25 on shares of Re 1 each (125 per cent) for the financial year 2006-07.
Godrej Consumer said the four interim dividends pertaining to the financial year 2006-07 aggregates to Rs 3.75 on shares of Re 1 each (375 per cent) and could be termed as the final dividend for the year ended March 31.
For the year ended March 31, the company posted a net profit of Rs 132.16 crore as against Rs 121.20 crore for the year-ago period and the total income (net of excise) increased to Rs 763.82 crore from Rs 664.25 crore.
As per audited consolidated results for the year ended March 31, the group posted a net profit of Rs 144.04 crore, as against Rs 121.30 crore in the year-ago period and the total income increased to Rs 955.88 crore from Rs 708.49 crore.
The expanded manufacturing capacities would enable the company for improving demand as well as enhance its efficiency level.
The company would also endeavour to leverage the synergies derived from its international acquisitions with the introduction of new products in India and overseas.
