GlaxoSmithKline appoints Annaswamy Vaidheesh as VP South Asia

Vaidheesh’s last assignment was as Vice President, Corporate Government Affairs, Asia-Pacific with Johnson & Johnson based in Singapore.

MUMBAI: British drug maker GlaxoSmithKline on Monday announced that it has appointed Annaswamy Vaidheesh, as Vice President, South Asia & Managing Director. Vaidheesh will be replacing Hasit Joshipura who will be moving to a new role in the company, which GSK has not announced.

Vaidheesh’s last assignment was as Vice President, Corporate Government Affairs, Asia-Pacific with Johnson & Johnson based in Singapore. Prior to this role, he was Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical India and Vice President, Asia-Pacific - Diabetes franchise, based in Mumbai.

Vaidheesh is a Bachelor of Physics from Madras University and has completed his Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bombay University.
