Dabur relaunches Odomos; targets young consumers

With the incidence of mosquito borne diseases like malaria and Chikungunya on the rise in the country, homegrown FMCG major Dabur has relaunched its repellant Odomos in new cream, lotion and gel formats.

NEW DELHI: With the incidence of mosquito borne diseases like malaria and Chikungunya on the rise in the country, homegrown FMCG major Dabur has relaunched its repellant Odomos in new cream, lotion and gel formats.

"The new Odomos range is a skin-friendly cream and has a pleasant fragrance. It targets the young particularly as a product that offers protection and does not smell or feel like a conventional medicinal ointment," Dabur India Home Care Division, Senior General Manager Girish Kumar said.

The new range of Odomos has relinquished its old image of being a strong smelling, yellow cream, he added.

Kumar said the company was confident that the brand in its new format will be well received by the customers and will help in combating the outbreak of diseases like Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya.

Dabur claimed that its Odomos is a non-toxic cream that can be used on children and infants safely, as certified by a reputed Mumbai hospital, however without disclosing the name.

The new Odomos personal application range will be available in three variants of cream, gel and lotion with cream available in 12 gms, 25 gms, 50 gms and 100 gms pack
