Shares of Colgate-Palmolive India today closed at Rs 1,497 on BSE, up 3.54 per cent from their previous close.

NEW DELHI: FMCG major Colgate-Palmolive India today said company management is still in discussions to resolve issues with one of the unions at Goa facility, where work has been temporarily stopped since January 6.

Work at the company's toothpaste manufacturing facility in Goa has been stopped "illegally" since January 6 by some workers who are primarily protesting against suspension of a colleague, Colgate-Palmolive said in a filing to the BSE.

"The company management is still in discussions with one of its unions at the said facility to resolve the issues amicably," it added.

The disruption of the work at the facility has minimal impact on the business in the short term since the company has sufficient inventory to service the market, it added.

Colgate-Palmolive is present in the segments of oral care, personal care, home care and professional oral care.

Shares of Colgate-Palmolive India today closed at Rs 1,497 on BSE, up 3.54 per cent from their previous close.
