Coca-Cola's bottling partner HCCB makes Neeraj Garg new chief

New Delhi: Coca-Cola-owned bottling partner Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has named Neeraj Garg, currently president of the global beverage maker’s West Africa business, as its new chief executive in a weekend restructuring sweep aimed at ‘unlocking the next phase of growth.’

Christina Ruggiero, who has been leading the Rs 10,000-crore HCCB since three years, will relocate to Coca-Cola’s US office.

Coca-Cola has also named new India heads of marketing, franchise, strategy, finance and HR, which it said was “to drive more growth and put execution closer to customers.”


All the new heads will report to Sanket Ray, who succeeds T Krishnakumar as Coke India president. Krishnakumar has been named chairman of the beverage maker.

Garg has been with Coca-Cola for nearly three decades, having worked across markets and functions.

The Coca-Cola Company Bottling Investments Group president Marcelo Boffi told ET: “HCCB will find Neeraj’s insights and expertise extremely useful in unlocking the next phase of growth for HCCB in India.”
