Footwear major Bata India Limited has sold its Hawai brand to a Brazilian company at Rs 3.91 crore.

KOLKATA: Footwear major Bata India Limited has sold its Hawai brand to a Brazilian company at Rs 3.91 crore.Chairman of Bata India Limited P M Sinha said that the Hawai brand of slippers were being imitated by numerous local manufacturers.
For this, the company had decided to sell the brand. Bata India had sold the brand to Sau Paolo Alparagatas SA of Brazil. Meanwhile, the company has decided to open 240 new stores during the course of three years.
