Atomy to set up India manufacturing

Atomy India, the domestic arm of the South Korean direct selling company Atomy Corp which sells personal care and health-centric products, will set up a manufacturing base in India by 2025, the company announced on Tuesday.

The maker of personal and baby care products and health supplements, which began operations in India last year, presently imports products, relying on multiple suppliers.

Atomy India managing director Seikh Imtiaz Ali said in a statement the company would bring in its 'global sourcing global sales’ market strategy to India next year.


The direct selling sector has been seeing steady uptick in sales through the pandemic, according to industry data. Wellness products contributed close to 55% of overall sales in the direct selling sector in 2020, with gross direct selling sales having increased 4.7% in 2020-21.
