Mumbai/New Delhi: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma-backed snacking and breakfast cereal maker Slurrp Farm is exploring a fresh fundraise as some of its existing backers are looking to exit their holdings amid heightened investor interest and rapid growth in the healthy snacking category, said people directly aware of the plans.

Talks with the potential investors are at an early stage, and the size and structure of the proposed deal, including the quantum of stake sale, haven't yet been finalised, the people said. "Slurrp Farm is in talks for a large fundraise which may include offloading a significant minority stake, while details around valuation are in process of being discussed," said one of the persons cited above. "A majority stake sale is also a possibility, depending on the valuation."

Co-founded a decade ago by Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik, the brand positioned itself with the then-emerging niche of using supergrains such as finger millets, sorghum and oats in everyday kitchen products such as cake mixes and breakfast batters.

Slurrp Farm was valued at ₹827 crore in a Series C5 fundraising round this August, according to Tracxn data. Angel investors, including Sharma, former IndiGo executive and Akasa Air cofounder Aditya Ghosh, and investor Ashish Dhawan collectively hold about 4.2% stake in Slurrp Farm.
