Amway targets turnover of Rs 2,500 cr in 2012
The company has planned to set up a manufacturing unit which will be bigger than Baadi, company's VP (East) Diptarag Bhattacharjee Said.
Amway India registered a turnover of Rs 1,790 crore in the 2010 financial year (Jan-Dec) and currently has a seven contract manufacturing facility in Baadi, Himachal Pradesh.
The company has planned to set up a manufacturing unit which will be bigger than Baadi, company's Vice-President (East) Diptarag Bhattacharjee Said.
The proposed unit will not be set up in northern region as the company already has a plant here. The plant would cater to the increasing demand of Amway products in the country as well as to enhance the target, he said.
Bhattacharjee added that the company has taken several steps including expanding the vendor facility at Baadi and the proposed new in order to achieve the turnover target of Rs 2,500 in 2012.
