Franchise India is targeting to appoint 16 distributors and 42 franchisees for Skechers in a year. These wholesale distributors will help the company reach out to retail chains.
"We believe that the tie-up with Franchise India is going to further help us establish the presence of the business across all metros," Skechers South Asia Managing Director Sanjeev Agrawal said.
Skechers had launched its products in the Indian market in July last year. At present, Skechers sells its products through multi-brand outlets such as Reliance Footprint, Planet Sports and e-commerce websites like Jabong.com, Yehbhi.com and myntra.com.
Commenting on the partnership, Franchise India Brands Director Sonya Chowdhry said: "We will be helping them in appointing distributors and as well as franchisees. With our expertise in strategising the retail plans of big retail giants, we are sure to escalate the growth, penetration and scalability of the chain to the next level."
US-based Skechers is a USD 1.5-billion company and its products are available across 100 countries globally.
