Provogue to sponsor GIFA ‘06

MUMBAI: Provogue has been roped in as the title sponsors for the Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) 2006, a global brand owned by Popcorn Entertainment and Global Events. GIFA has been re-christened as the 'PROVOGUE GIFA 2006 AWARDS. The event will be the first Bollyvista award of the season to be held from the 7th to the 9th of December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
"The 'Provogue GIFA 2006 Awards' is an amalgamation of fashion and Bollywood, with top Indian models walking the ramp in Provogue's Autumn-Winter 2006 collection, elevating Provogue to an international platform," said Salil Chaturvedi, director, Provogue(I).
Leading Indian film stars and personalities from the sports and corporate world will be gracing this International Mega Event. The show will feature Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Abhishekh Bachchan performing together for the first time. During the GIFA Kuala Lumpur 2006 event, recognition will be given to 25 categories in film-making, with five nominees for each category.

The three-day extravaganza on 7th December, 2006 will also feature the World Premiere of BR Films and Ravi Chopra's "Baabul" at TGV cinemas, KLCC, in Kuala Lumpur. The premiere will be attended by the lead star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and John Abraham.
