Oriflame India acquires manufacturing facility in Uttarakhand
Oriflame India, an arm of Swedish cosmetics major, has acquired the manufacturing facility to fulfill the increasing sales demands in India.
Oriflame India, an arm of Swedish cosmetics major Oriflame, has acquired the manufacturing facility to fulfill the increasing sales demands in India and in Asia, the company said in a statement.
"The long term site development plans will enable the facility to supply the majority of the wellness category demand in selected Oriflame markets in the Asian region," it added.
The company, however, did not share financial details. Commenting on the development, Oriflame India Managing Director Niklas Frisk said the acquisition once again shows shows the company's commitment and focus on long term strong growth in India.
"...The India wellness team is working hard to coordinate all aspects of this complex project to ensure that we have a very strong foundation to work with for being able to launch wellness products in the Indian market in the coming years," he added.
The new facility, which is spread over an area of 61,124 sq ft, is under the process of renovation and upgradation to ensure that it meets Oriflame standards, the company said.
Oriflame markets various products including fragrances and cosmetics through its sales force in over 60 countries.
