Italy's Brioni seeks JV in India
Italian mens’ fashionwear brand Brioni, which is currently present in India through a franchise, is looking at forming a joint venture with its Indian partner.
The sixty-year-old brand, which opened its second store in New Delhi last week, is planning to set up its third store in Bangalore soon.
We are looking at forming a joint venture. But it wont happen immediately, Brioni co-CEO Andrea Perrone told ET. Mumbai-based BadaSaab Designs is the franchise for Brioni in India.
Mr Perrone said the timing of the proposed joint venture would depend on the scale of their business in India and their ability to locate a good piece of real estate.
Brioni is looking for a well-located piece of land of 400-500 sq metre in area, which could house the premium brands entire collection and be showcased as the main centre for the brand in India.
