Godrej bullish on hair colour business

Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) is now looking at relaunching its premium hair colour brands in India.

BANGALORE: Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) is bullish on its hair colour business. The company, which holds 35% market share in the Rs 700-crore hair colour business, is now looking at relaunching its premium hair colour brands in India.

“We are looking at increasing our market share in the premium segment. We have Color Soft and Renew as two of our premium brands. And, we are looking at adding new variants,” said Rakesh Kumar Sinha, chief operating officer, marketing and operations, GCPL.

The premium segment accounts for around Rs 250 crore of the hair colour market. The company is the market leader across 10 countries.
