Classic Diamonds ties up with US co
City-based Classic Diamonds India Ltd has signed an agreement with US-based jewellery wholeseller, Diamond Direct LLC, in a bid to establish retail operations in the US and Canada.

MUMBAI: City-based Classic Diamonds India Ltd has signed an agreement with US-based jewellery wholeseller, Diamond Direct LLC, in a bid to establish retail operations in the US and Canada.
The company said it was looking to tap the US retail market directly through Diamond Direct and the two companies were in discussions to set up jewellery retail chain stores under the 'Classic Jewels' brand.
The stores would retail diamond studded jewellery manufactured by Classic Diamonds, the company added.
Diamond Direct is a jewellery wholeseller, whose clients include retail chain stores like JC Penny, Sterling, Zales and the Samsclub.
Classic Diamonds on Wednesday informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the retail jewellery business was a focus growth area for the company and it was looking to expand its presence in local as well as overseas markets and thus had recently tie up with the US firm.
